The Lemp Mansion is a historical house situated in Benton Park. It was constructed in 1860s and purchased by the Lemp family, whose William J. Lemp Brewing Co. made their fortunes brewing beer. It is now a restaurant and inn.
Sadly, the house was the site of three Lemp family suicides, all as a reslt of gunshot wounds. Consequently, the mansion has earned a reputation for being haunted by members of the Lemp family.
Reported phenomena include the apparitions of a deformed child and that of Charles Lemp; objects and furniture move; the piano plays on its own; and thudding sounds are reported.
In 2010 the mansion was investigated by The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), and featured on the September 29th episode of Ghost Hunters.
